The services that the Asian Women’s Shelter provides to residents are the touchstone of our organization. We are here to provide survivors of domestic violence and their children with support and assistance to heal, and to be independent women and families of the community. We strive to empower survivors to tap into their talent, strength and resilience.

The services offered at Asian Women’s Shelter can be classified under four groupings:

• Direct Services, including the shelter itself
• Community Building, involving our outreach into many communities and collaboration with many organizations in the Bay Area
  
• Volunteer and Intern Training, which is extensive and includes a certification program
• Resources and referrals to other agencies and organizations for ongoing support
