Since its founding, AWS has been very active in building and participating in local, regional, and national coalitions to end domestic violence and human trafficking of all kinds: forced labor, domestic servitude, sexual exploitation, etc

For example, in recognition of the critical need to support survivors of trafficking, AWS co-founded the Asian Anti-Trafficking Collaborative (AATC), which consists of three social-services agencies and a non-profit legal agency. Most people do not realize that trafficking is the third fastest-growing criminal activity in the world. Upwards of 4 million people are trafficked worldwide every year, over half being children, a UN study shows it is the third most profitable criminal activity today. The AATC is one of the first collaborative models to meet the comprehensive legal and social-service needs of trafficking survivors.

Other important collaborations and coalitions include:

Alliance Against Asian Domestic Violence

Asian Anti-Trafficking Collaborative (AATC)

California Partnership to End Domestic Violence

East Bay Anti-Trafficking Task Force

East Bay Coalition to End Asian Domestic Violence

Greater Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Task Force

Homeless Children’s Network

  San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium
